Abstract

The SPMB (New Student Admission System) application launched for the 2026/2027 academic year is a crucial instrument in realizing transparency in New Student Admissions (PMB) in South Lampung Regency. The main issue was the low understanding of elementary and junior high school principals regarding the application. A socialization activity was held on May 21, 2026, at the Krakatau Building Hall, South Lampung Regent's Office, using counseling and community education methods for 30 school principal representatives. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, with the average pretest score of 54.67 increasing to 83.33 in the posttest. This activity successfully improved principals' understanding and readiness to implement the SPMB application for transparent and accountable PMB.
